Gina Brooke's trademark ability is creating flawless and distinguished looks through a fine arts perspective. Her work exudes a love of art, color and texture which explains her phenomenal success as a makeup artist. She has been the Artistic Director of Shu Uemura since 2005 and is the creative force behind the line, to date. Brooke's philosophy to makeup: "There are no rules. With makeup, the possibilities are endless."

Brooke began her career as a makeup artist while attending school at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. After her first test shoot, Brooke immediately began working in the fashion industry and has been in demand ever since. While in the process of reinventing her look, Madonna commissioned Brooke's trademark ability and perfectionist attitude in 2002. Gina's collaboration with Madonna has included three world wide concert tours (Reinvention tour 2003 where Brooke and Mr. Uemura created a custom pair of lashes for Madonna, Confessions tour 2006 for which Brooke hand-made a custom pair of diamond lashes, and Hard Candy 2008), and numerous music videos, including "Hung Up," directed by Johan Ranks, for which she was awarded an MVPA award for best makeup. Brooke's approach to makeup: "I see beauty in all forms of life. I approach the idea of creating beauty through art and incorporate wearable art that is functional."

Brooke has worked with some of the world's most beautiful faces including musicians, supermodels and photographers from Madonna, Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bundchen to David Beckham, Justin Timberlake and Fiona Apple. She collaborates with photographers such as Steven Klein and Mert and Marcus in advertising campaigns such as Dolce and Gabbana, D&G, Lanvin, Giorgio Armani, Akris, Pinko and H&M.
